通过皮雕展览的文化辐射,谢里丹的地域文化特色得以展现并带动了皮雕产业.多元文化特色及国际合作,使谢里丹风格在20世纪后半期的美式皮雕手艺制造中有着深远影响.通过实地考察及对比分析,发现在东西方文化与技艺的交融中,谢里丹风格纹样与中国唐草纹样有差异也有相似之处.在作品创作形式上借鉴与消化谢里丹风格,使越来越多的华人出现在皮雕专业的舞台上,是皮雕艺术教学中值得思考的问题.

Through the cultural radiation of the leather carving exhibition, Sheridan's regional cultural characteristics have been able to display and promote the leather carving industry. The diversified cultural characteristics and international cooperation have made the Sheridan style have a profound influence on American leather carving crafts, in the latter half of the 20th century. Through investigation in Sheridan and comparative analysis, it is found that in the blending of Eastern and Western cultures and crafts, there are many differences and similarities between the Sheridan style patterns and the Chinese Tang grass patterns. Through learning and digesting the Sheridan style in the works creation ,making more and more Chinese people appear on the professional stage of leather carving is worthy of consideration in the teaching of leather carving.
