沈从文文学理想的游移与坚守——以《边城》版本修订与选择为视点

Vacillation and Persistence of Shen Cong-wen’s Literary Ideal——From the Perspective of Revision and Selection of Border Town’s Edition

沈从文作为独具个性的文学家,其文学思想既具有贯穿始终的独特内核和意义结构,又具有一定的超前性和深刻性,在中国现代文学史上具有不可替代的独特价值和意义。《边城》作为沈从文的代表作,自问世后,经历了几次重要的重修再版,背后隐含着沈从文修改时的思想斗争与情感变化。选取《边城》版本的修订与选择为研究对象,以期还原其修订及再版的历史现场,并以此探寻其中体现的沈从文文学理想的“常”与“变”,体会自由主义知识分子在不同社会文化语境中坚守自身文学理想时的精神困惑和生命阵痛。

Shen Cong-wen a writer with unique personality has advanced and profound literary ideal with unique core and significance throughout his literary thoughts. He has irreplaceable unique value and significance in the history of modern Chinese literature. As Shen Cong-wen’s representative work the Border Town has undergone several important revisions and reprints since its publication which implies his ideological struggle and emotional changes in the process of revision. This paper chooses the revision and selection of the edition of Border Town as the research object in order to restore the his torical scene of its revision and reprint. In addition the paper explores the “constant” and “variable” of Shen Cong-wen' s literary ideal so that we can understand the spiritual perplexity and life pains that the liberal intellectuals encountered when they have stuck to their literary ideal in different social and cultural contexts.
