70 Years of Diplomatic Achievements since the Founding of the People’s Republic of China

70年前中华人民共和国的诞生,开启了新中国外交筚路蓝缕、波澜壮阔的历史征程。70年来,在中国共产党领导下,中国外交紧紧围绕实现民族复兴、服务国家建设和改革开放,紧紧围绕捍卫国家主权、安全、发展利益,紧紧围绕维护世界和平、促进共同发展,接续奋斗、披荆斩棘,取得了历史性成就。党的十八大以来,在以习近平同志为核心的党中央领导下,外交战线继往开来,攻坚克难,开拓进取,开创了中国特色大国外交新局面。

Over the past seven decades, under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, China’s diplomacy has achieved historical achievements: it has established a network of partnership spanning across the globe, served national construction and “reform and opening-up”, staunchly safeguarded national sovereignty, security and development interests, markedly improved China’s international status and influence, contributed China’s wisdom and solution to the world, and earnestly practiced the principle of diplomacy for the people. China has carved out a path of major-power diplomacy with Chinese characteristics and has accumulated valuable experience in this process: adhering to the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party and the path of socialism;upholding an independent foreign policy of peace;advocating for the international relations tenet with the “Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence” as the core;opposing hegemonism and power politics;adamantly standing with the vast group of developing countries;safeguarding national sovereignty, security and development interests;promoting human common development while safeguarding its own interests;insisting on seeking truth from facts, advancing with the times and keeping exploration and innovation.
