Five Dimensions of the Construction of University Think Tanks in the New Era

从智库的发展要求和当前的现实情况看,新时代高校智库建设应当坚持五个维度。一是坚持正确的政治方向,同时彰显自身的专业能力;二是在努力遵从现有规则惯例时引领规则的变革和发展;三是实现理论研究和应用研究的融合,使两者相互促进;四是既要用学科平台补充智库的研究力量,更要将智库平台和智库成果用于学位点建设和人才培养;五是努力按照独立实体标准建设高校智库,对于部分暂时不具有独立处理条件的事务采取灵活变通方式处理。

According to the development requirements and the current reality, the construction of university think tanks in the new era should center on five dimensions. First of all, the correct political orientation should be adhered to, while highlighting the professional ability. Secondly, existing rules could be reformed and changed, while they are followed. Thirdly, the integration of theoretical research and applied research should be achieved so that the two can promote the development of each other. Fourthly, think tank platforms and their research capacity should contribute to the construction of subject platform and personnel training activities, while the subject platforms are considered as the supplement for the research of think tanks. Finally, universities should build think tanks according to independent entity standards, and flexible ways could be used to handle the affairs which could not be independently dealt with temporarily.
