On the English Translation of Tofu Culture Idioms from the Perspective of Cultural Smart Power

豆腐文化熟语作为豆腐文化的活化石和中国传统文化的重要组成部分,涵盖了豆腐成语、惯用语、歇后语、谚语、格言等不同类型,具有构建和传播中国文化巧实力得天独厚的条件。以豆腐文化熟语的分类梳理为突破口,结合豆腐文化熟语的英译探讨,不仅为豆腐文化的深入挖掘和跨文化传播开辟了新的道路,更为中国文化巧实力的提升提供了新的语言和文化载体。

Tofu culture idioms, as living fossils of tofu culture and an important part of traditional Chinese culture, cover different types of language forms, including tofu proverbs, phrases, adages, and maxims, etc. which have unique conditions for constructing and spreading Chinese cultural smart power. This paper intends to explore the English translation of tofu culture idioms by focusing on its classification as a breakthrough. By doing so, it will not only open up a new path for the in-depth exploration of tofu culture as well as cross-cultural communication, but also provides a new language and cultural carrier for the improvement of Chinese cultural smart power.
