The Development History and Future Direction of Maternal and Child Health Major in Chinese Colleges and Universities

我国妇幼卫生专业自上世纪80年代中期创建以来,经过三十多年的发展,培养了一批优秀的妇幼卫生人才。但该专业经历过起步发展阶段、高速发展阶段后由于妇幼卫生专业人才培养环境和培养单位发生变化、相关法律法规的出台以及用人单位招生条件提升,使预防医学院培养的妇幼卫生专业人才不能考取临床执业医师资格证、从事保健类工作的人员职称的晋升渠道较其他岗位狭窄,进而导致该专业的逐渐萎缩,培养人员数量锐减,不能满足社会对高水平、高质量妇幼保健服务的需求。

Since the establishment of the maternal and child health profession in the mid-1980s,after more than 30 years of development, China had trained a number of outstanding maternal and child health personnel. However,after the start-up development stage and highspeed development stage,the profession had changed due to the changes in the training environment and training units of maternal and child health professionals,the introduction of relevant laws and regulations,and the enrollment conditions of employers,so that mater nal and child health professionals trained in preventive medical schools could not be admitted. The promotion channels for clinical practi tioner qualification certificates and personnel engaged in health care work were narrower than other positions,which led to the gradual shrinkage of the profession,and the number of training personnel has dropped sharply,which could not meet the society’s demand for high-level and high-quality maternal and child health care services.
