格莱斯会话含义理论视角下人物对话翻译策略研究——以杨宪益、戴乃迭译《阿Q正传》为例

Research on Translation Strategies of Characters’ Dialogues under Grice’s Theory of Conversational Implicature:Taking The True Story of Ah Q by Yang Xianyi and Gladys Yang as an Example

《阿Q正传》是我国现当代文学史上的一部佳作,出自文学大家鲁迅之笔,不仅在中国产生了巨大影响,而且被翻译成多种外语。一直以来,对《阿Q正传》英译本的研究吸引了翻译界的不断关注,研究角度丰富多样,但是就其中人物对话的翻译研究很少。以杨宪益和戴乃迭夫妇翻译的《阿Q正传》为例,从格莱斯的会话含义理论出发,探讨其中人物对话的具体翻译策略,以期为相关翻译研究和实践提供启发。

The True Story of Ah Q by the literary master Lu Xun is one of the best works in the history of Chinese modern and contemporary literature.It has not only had a great influence in China,but also has been translated into many different languages.The research on the English translation of The True Story of Ah Q has attracted constant attention in the translation community.The research perspectives are rich and varied,but there are few studies on characters' dialogues in it.Based on Grice's Theory of Conversational Implicature,this article takes the famous translation by Yang Xianyi and Gladys Yang as an example and explores the specific translation strategies of characters' dialogues in order to provide some inspirations for relevant translation research and practice.
