Literature retrieval is an important method for retrieving evidence in formulating clinical practice guidelines(CPGs). A reasonable literature retrieval strategies based on clinical questions reduces resources consumption in the guideline development process. A detailed description of literature retrieval strategies is one of the contents for guideline appraisals. Authors introduced relevant database resources for the guidelines, systematic reviews, and original trials, and described how to develop retrieval strategies and manage the literature in this article, hoping to help developers of the CPGs or systematic reviews in the task of literature retrieval.
