Efficient modeling for man-made forest terrain and trees integration

摘要 针对南方人工林地貌特征和林分生长特性,以实例为研究对象,对大规模林地地形与树木融合的高效建模方法进行研究。建模算法基于地形表面离散点数据,按规划的网格点进行区域高程值覆盖与替代,对没有覆盖到的区域用扫描算法进行高程值补孔,然后利用二次高斯模板对网格高程数据平滑处理,得到林地形模型。借助Unity3D二次开发技术导入地形模型和构建的树木模型数据,实现林地树木模型的有机融合,构建林分场景。结果表明:本研究的算法和融合方法提高了林地和树木的综合建模效率,打通了从基础人工林数据到Unity3D呈现大规模人工林真实感模型的各个环节,并能在普通PC机实现模型的流畅动态模拟,为大规模人工林的高效率真实感建模提供了一种有效途径。 Taking examples as the studying object, based on the geomorphological characteristics and stand growth characteristics of southern plantations, this paper researched the efficient modeling methods of large-scale forest land topography and trees integration. The modeling algorithm is based on the discrete point data of the terrain surface. The area elevation data coverage and replacement are performed according to the planned grid points. Scanning algorithm is used to fill the holes of elevation data in the uncovered area, and then the grid data is smoothed by the quadratic Gaussian template to obtain the terrain model. The Unity3 D secondary development platform is used to import the terrain model data and the constructed trees model data to realize the organic integration of the forest land and trees model, and the forest stand scene is constructed. The experiments show that the algorithm and fusion method of this paper improve the comprehensive modeling efficiency of forest land and trees, and open up all the links from the basic plantation data to Unity3 D to present a large-scale realistic model of plantation. Moreover the fusion method can realize the smooth and dynamic simulation of the model on the ordinary PC, which provides an effective way for the high-efficiency realistic modeling of large-scale plantations.
