Dalbergia spp.is warmly accepted by the public on account of its excellent material quality and beautiful patterns.In the national standard of Hongmu,there are 7 species of Dalbergia spp.,4 of which are grown in South America,with standardized Latin names and scientific names.But in the markets,we often hear“South American Dalbergia spp.”,“South American Platymiscium Yucatanum”and so on.Whether these all belong to Dalbergia spp.of the national standard of Hongmmu is often makes consumers confused.The so-called“South American Dalbergia spp.”wood was chosen as the research object,its anatomy structural characteristics and material properties were studied.The analysis of its identification key points will provide theoretical reference for consumers and stakeholders to help promote the standardization of furniture timber market.
