This paper introduces the types of accidents caused by brake failure in elevator and the action principle of brake,and analyses the requirements of the inspection regulations on brake:the elevator brake must have two independent electrical devices to detect.According to the requirements of inspection regulations,a case in the inspection is analyzed.In the case,two independent electrical devices are removed from one to create potential safety hazards.
