通过分析高职院校专门用途英语教师发展现状,发现现状中的一系列问题,包括教师团队结构不合理、教师缺乏培训意识、教学质量不高,难以满足学生需求、教师普遍缺乏社会与自我认同感及科研领域较窄、缺乏创新意识。针对这些问题提出相应发展对策,即完善教师团队结构、强化专门用途英语技能与应用技能、促进校企合作、拓展科研途径及增强宣传力度。

This paper analyzes teachers’ development status of English for special purpose in higher vocational colleges, finds a series of problems in the current situation, including the unreasonable structure of teachers, lack of training awareness, low teaching quality, the difficulty in meeting students’ needs, lack of social and self-identification in general, narrow field of scientific research, and lack of innovation. In response to these problems, the corresponding development countermeasures are proposed as the following, namely, improving the teacher team structure, strengthening the specialized English skills and application skills, promoting school-enterprise cooperation, expanding methods of scientific research and enhancing publicity.
