[Purpose/significance] The purpose of this study is to explore the impact of differentiated task context on users’ online travel collaborative information retrieval behavior, and to provide improved methods and strategies for online travel product and service innovation based on comparative analysis.[Method/process] In the context of general tasks and specific tasks,"situation experiment + questionnaire interview" was adopted to obtain research samples’ behavioral characteristics data. The experimental process was recorded through the screen recording software and browsing history view software. The collected questionnaire text and video data are processed through manual coding, data cleaning and data preprocessing.21 valid samples and 42 valid data are obtained.Variance analysis is used to analyze data by using SPSS 19.0.[Result/conclusion] In the general task situation, users’ retrieval time is longer, the number of input search and editing answers is more, the interactive behaviors such as online chat and browsing collaborator’s answers are more obvious, and the final retrieval effect is significantly better than that of specific task situation. The task type has no significant effect on the user’s task-aware variables.
