This paper mainly introduces the general situation of IFLA and the 84th World Library and Information Congress, and discusses the relevant contents of IFLA’s Global Vision, including two important discoveries of the close connection of goals and values worldwide, and the effective combination of global and local actions. Also, it discusses ten highlights, such as the commitment to equal and free access to information and knowledge. It also discusses and analyzes the research trend of data and data librarians, library copyright and so on.
