An Analysis of the Image of Ghosts in Youyang Zazu ——On the Ghost Belief in the Tang Dynasty

《酉阳杂俎》一书中记录了大量“鬼”的形象,展现出唐代民间对于“鬼”的形象的想象。在段成式笔下,这些“鬼”的形象丰富多姿,具体生动。分析了《酉阳杂俎》中关于“鬼”的相关记载,总结出该书中的各类“鬼”的形象及其特点,探究唐代民间信仰中“鬼”信仰的来源、内容及影响。

There are a large number of images of “ghost” recorded in the book of the “ Youyang Zazu ”, which shows the imagination of “ghost” in the Tang Dynasty. In the author’s works, the images of these ghosts are rich and vivid. Analysing the related records about “ghost” in the book, I summary the images and characteristics of the various “ghosts” in the book, and explore the source, content and influence of the “ghost” belief in the folk beliefs of the Tang Dynasty.
