关于王翦灭楚战争,《史记·秦始皇本纪》与《六国年表》《楚世家》等篇章的记载存在歧异,前人为了还原这一段历史进行了大量研究。根据《史记》与睡虎地秦简《编年记》的相关记载,或许存在这样一种可能:秦王政二十三年王翦击楚,杀项燕,托名项燕的楚将拥立昌平君反秦;秦王政二十四年昌平君败亡,这位楚将自杀,楚王负刍被俘。

A general of Chu, who was under the false name of Xiang Yan, supported Changpingjun as king to oppose Qin Dynasty.In the twenty-fourth year of Qin Shihuang’s reign, Changpingjun was defeated and died.The general of Chu committed suicide and the king Fu Chu of Chu was captured.
