王树楠与“莲池书院”山长交游考——兼论晚清“莲池学派”的兴起

A Study of Wang Shunan’s Friendship with Dean of Lianchi Academy——On the Rise of the “Lianchi School” in the Late Qing Dynasty

王树楠是晚清民国时期著名的学者、文学家,桐城派流衍京畿形成之“莲池学派”的重要人物。他早年拜在黄彭年门下,黄氏对其诗古文创作、学术思想产生了重要的影响。晚清“莲池学派”因应时代需要,内里精细而系统地阐明桐城家法,外以汇通中西、明道致用以应世的文化精神,也在王树楠与张裕钊、吴汝纶深具张力的交游之中形成且崇高起来,从而为晚清民国以来文人的文化省思与革新涵育了更为深厚的共同文化心态。

Wang Shunan was a famous scholar and writer in the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China.He visited Huang Pengnian in his early years, and Huang had an important influence on his poetry and ancient prose creation and academic thought.In the late Qing Dynasty, Lianchi School integrated traditional Chinese culture and Western civilization, systematically expounded the artistic system of Tongcheng School, and pursued the cultural ideal of literary intervention in social governance.This kind of cultural personality was formed in Wang Shunan’s intense communication with Zhang Yuzhao and Wu Rulun, and got lofty.Thus, the cultural reflection and innovation of literati since the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China have fostered a deeper common cultural mentality.
