《申报》禁邮事件在20世纪30年代国统区新闻业态演变中扮演了"草蛇灰线"的角色。该事件有诸多讹误,其意义被学界严重低估。文章考证了该事件的始末,认为在警惕沪上反蒋势力的特定语境下,《申报》在蒋看重的辟谣报道上玩"死为党鬼"的文字把戏,是蒋下令禁邮的直接诱因。《申报》禁邮长达50余天(7月13日-9月2日)。凌其翰在《申报》解禁中起到了润滑剂角色,陈景韩扮演了"最后一颗稻草"角色。《申报》禁邮目的是敲打史量才,收紧抗日舆论,其逻辑间接使1932年成为抗战前十年国统区新闻业的分水岭。

The postal ban on Shun Pao played a complicated and confusing role in the evolution of journalism in Kuomintang-controlled areas in the 1930 s. There are many errors in this event, and its significance has been seriously underestimated by the academic circles. The article tests the beginning and end of the event and holds that in the specific context of being vigilant against the anti-Jiang forces in Shanghai, Shun Pao played a literary trick of "dying as a party ghost" on the rumor reports that Jiang attached great importance to, which is the direct cause of Jiang’s order to ban posts. Shun Pao was banned for more than 50 days (July 13-September 2). Ling Qihan played the role of lubricant in the lifting of the ban on Shun Pao, while Chen Jinghan played the role of "the last straw". Chiang Kai-shek’s ban on Shun Pao aimed to suppress Shi Liangcai and tighten up the anti-Japanese public opinion, which indirectly made 1932 a watershed for journalism in the Kuomintang-controlled areas in the ten years before the war.
