With the in-depth development of humanistic cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries,the responsibilities of archives have been endowed with new connotations,which are specifically manifested in: expanding the service objects,facing the public with multi-cultural backgrounds;building bilateral cooperation to promote civilization dialogue in the field of archives;focusing on cultural exchanges,disseminating the essence of culture with Chinese characteristics;innovating service forms,learning good work experiences of foreign archives.Under the background of Sino-foreign cultural exchanges,the ways to develop public cultural services of archives mainly include: cultivating the concept of public cultural services with an international perspective;incorporating participation in Sinoforeign cultural exchanges into the work plans of archives;launching service projects for the public with multi-cultural backgrounds;using modern technology to promote cultural services of archives;integrating social forces to participate in public cultural services of archives;cultivating the ability of cross-cultural communication among archivists.
