The Research and Judgment of the CPC on China’s Development of History Orientation Since the Founding of New China

准确研判新中国发展所处的历史方位是中国共产党严格遵循马克思主义指导、认真吸取历史经验教训、科学制定路线方针政策的必然要求。新中国成立以来,研判我国发展的历史方位一直是党治国理政的重大理论和现实问题,直接关系着党和国家事业的兴衰成败。中国共产党先后做出了建设新民主主义并向社会主义过渡、建成社会主义并过渡到共产主义、从资本主义过渡到共产主义、长期处于社会主义初级阶段、中国特色社会主义进入新时代等判断,呈现出曲折中前进、视野不断扩大、内涵日益丰富等趋向。

To accurately research and judge New China's historical orientation is an inevitable requirement for the CPC to strictly follow the guidance of Marxism, draw lessons from history and formulate the line, principles and policies scientifically. Since the founding of New China, it has been a major theoretical and practical problem for the Party to determine the historical orientation of China's development and has a direct relations to the rise and fall of the Party and the state. The CPC successively made research and judgments on the construction of new democracy and the transition to socialism, the completion of socialism and the transition to communism, the transition from capitalism to communism, the long-term transition of the primary stage of socialism and the entry to the socialism with Chinese characteristics into a new era. It has shown a tendency to move forward in a compromise with a constantly expanding vision and an increasingly rich connotation.
