Orthodontic treatment in sequential treatment of cleft lip and palate

多学科联合的唇腭裂序列治疗是目前国际上普遍认可和推行的治疗措施,正畸治疗是序列治疗过程中的重要组成部分。正畸医生的视角更着重于对患者面部和牙生长发育的监控,对患者因唇腭裂修补术后继发的牙问题和面型问题及正畸治疗牙变化和面型变化有专业的敏感性。本文从正畸学角度,就正畸治疗在唇腭裂整个序列治疗中的作用和地位,从出生到成年各个发育阶段需要正畸参与的过程作一综述。以期对临床和科研工作的开展提供参考和指导。

The multidisciplinary sequential treatment of the cleft lip and palate is universally recognized and widely implemented worldwide. Orthodontics treatment plays an important role in the sequential treatment of cleft lip and palate. The orthodontist’s perspective focuses on monitoring patients’ facial and occlusal growth and development. Orthodontists have the professional sensitivity to address the problems of occlusal and facial skeletal type secondary to the repair of cleft lip and palate. Orthodontists can also record the changes in the occlusal and facial features during orthodontic treatment. From the orthodontics perspective, this paper discusses the role and the status of orthodontic treatment in the sequential treatment of cleft lip and palate. This paper reviews the published scientific research on orthodontic intervention in the sequential treatment for cleft lip and palate during all the stages of development(from birth to adulthood) as a reference and guide for clinical and scientific research development.
