摘要
明代书史研究力图探讨明书自身(特别是商业印本)的价值,不以清代四库官学为唯一价值衡量标准,改变着传统上轻坊本、俗本、庞杂不伦之书的倾向。事实上,如果暂时搁置四库官学对明书不屑之词背后的价值判断,这些不屑之词本身恰恰为我们了解明代书文化提供了有力的线索。
The broad aim of this study, then, will be to suspend judgment about what Ming books are or ought to be, and to attend instead to the clues that these books offer about the historical contexts in which they were produced and used.
