Survey and Research on Oral English Competition in Guangdong Vocational Colleges

基于英语口语赛项的研究现状,通过问卷调查和访谈这两种研究方法,从参赛学校获奖情况、技能大赛公平公正、严格的管理制度、评分系统等角度对调查数据进行分析讨论,所得到的启示和结论是:制定出一套公开、公平、公正的科学完整的高职英语口语赛项实施体系是非常关键的。英语口语技能大赛已成为广东高等职业院校学生英语技能的一项重要赛事,承办这一大赛是我省高等职业教育工作的一项重要制度设计。

Based on the present studies on English speaking competition,this paper adopts the two research methods i.e. questionnaires and interviews,ranging from the winning of participating colleges,the prerequisite of fairness of skill competition, the strict management system and scoring system,analyzing and discussing the survey data,with the enlightenment and conclusion as follows: it is very critical to work out a set of scientific and complete implementation system of open,fair English speaking competition in higher vocational education,which has become an important competition in Guangdong higher vocational colleges. It is an important system design of higher vocational education in our province to host the skill competition of higher vocational colleges in Guangdong Province.
