摘要
民国时期教育经费空前拮据,而各级各类教育的发展,特别是义务教育推行在即,各级政府纷纷采取褒奖捐资兴学举措,根据捐资数目确定所颁发奖状、奖章、奖牌或匾额等褒奖等级和颁奖者级别,鼓励和刺激社会各界好善乐施人士慷慨解囊,捐资兴学。褒奖举措的实施,在很大程度上刺激了人们捐资兴学的积极性,从而募集到可观的教育经费,缓解了教育经费的困难,对于教育发展不无小补。
In Republic of China,education funding is unprecedentedly limited. Nonetheless,the development of various education demanded great urgency,especially the promotion of compulsory education. Governments of various levels adopted policies of rewarding educational donation. They issued assorted rewards according to the donation amounts and encouraged philanthropic people to support education financially. Its execution highly stimulated people’s enthusiasm in donating to education and raised considerable funds that eased the financial difficulty of education and facilitated its development greatly.
