中国北京世园会核心区妫汭湖东北侧,一只展翅欲飞的硕大“彩蝶”,被这盛世春色所吸引,与中国馆隔湖相望,这就是承担世园会开幕式、闭幕式演出,并作为展览期间重要国家日、国际论坛及演艺活动的妫汭剧场。
Guirui Theater resembles a big colorful butterfly that spreads its wings on a balmy spring day.Facing the China Pavilion across the lake,it is a main stadium to hold the opening ceremony,the closing ceremony and other major events such as the celebration of national holidays,the galas,or the international fornms.The main body of the building is composed of 26 steel trusses,with a cantilever up to 47 meters.The height gap creates the two light wings of the butterfly.The roof span is about 120 meters by 115 meters,all covered with an ETFE color film,with the cantilever ceiling made of silvergray aluminum alloy.The theatre is a lightweight and intelligent building,well-blended into the natural environment.
