“Two River Belts” Running through a City

“东鲁之大郡,水路之要冲”,济宁因京杭运河的开通而远近闻名.现如今,两条蓝色生态廊道大运河和古运河穿城而过,给济宁的经济发展带来了丰富的历史文化资源和城市水岸肌理.而在济宁的版图上,有一条几乎被人遗忘的河流,就是泗河.受泗河之水的润泽,河之滨涌现出一大批豪杰志士和英雄模范,在他们身上,依然流淌着“自强不息,厚德载物”的儒家血脉.

Jining is known far and wide for the opening of the Grand Canal. However, on the map of Jining, there is a river-Sishui River which has been almost forgotten. As the construction of the Canal Cultural and Economic Belt and the Sishui Green Development Belt has been put on the agenda, in the near future we will again be able to stroll by the ancient canal and the Sishui River to feel the innovative vitality under the influence of the Chinese culture.
