“Metamorphosis” of the Small Mountain Village

自古以来,周围环山、环水的地方常被称为“套”,比如有名的“河套平原”.在曲阜市吴村镇北部便有这样一个三面环山的小村庄,村民普遍种植葫芦,因此称为“葫芦套”.曾经的葫芦套村是个落后村,村容破败,人口外流严重,收入来源传统、单一.面对发展困境,小山村转型破局,绿化环境,在产业发展上动脑筋,焕发出新的生命力.

Since ancient times, all the places surrounded by mountains or waters have been called “Tao”(“enclosure”)in Chinese, with the well-known Hetao Plain (“The plain enclosed by the Yellow River”) as an example. In the north of Wucun Town, Qufu City, there is such a small village surrounded by mountains on three sides. The villagers generally grow gourds (“hulu”),so this village is called “Hulutao”.
