Partial discharge(PD)in GIS could be detected efficiently with its frequency charac teristics,because of a lot ul tra-high frequency composition in GIS partial discharge signal.The PD detection in GIS AC volt age withstand test was described in this paper,which will be a basis of develop ing a new PD technique in field.
