课堂教学是培养学生能力 ,提高学生素质的重要途径。本文从英语教学角度 ,阐述了以激发学习兴趣、磨练意志及调动学生潜能为主的提高学生文化和思想素质的方法。

Teaching in class is an important method of developing the students' abilities and improving their quality. From the point of English teaching, the author illustrates how to improve the students' culture and thought quality through the method of exciting their studying interests , tempering their will and arousing the students' latent energy.
