The feasibility of casting bush with low Ni high Mn Cu-Al alloy was demonstrated through analysis of the working performance and failure of bush for hot plate mill. The optimized composition of the alloy was determined by orthogonal method. The comprehensive mechanical properties can be improved significantly by quenching at 820 ℃×1 h and the bush service life increased from 36 h to over 72 h.
