In this paper,the Writers deseribed first the status in design and construction (stone masonry,was completed in Sept,2000)of the high slope(64.8m in Vertical height)in Pumping station NO.1, of the south main line,Wanjiazhai YRDP,secondly described the problems which had occurred in the high slope during flood season in 2001,thirdly described the strenghening measures taken anew in the position where the problems had once occurred in the high slop mentioned above and described the analysis on the effect of the high slope′s design and construction.These matters have led the writers to think about the supervising work,which was or is being implemented in the construction like in Wanjiszhai YRDP.
