胡颓子果实中蛋白质、氨基酸、油脂、单糖和寡糖、有机酸、维生素C和微量元素含量高于一般水果,特别是维生素C含量达2660mg/100g,仅次于野玫瑰、刺梨,可加工成具有独特风味和良好色泽的饮料、果酱、果酒等系列产品。
Determination of the thorny elaeagnus (E. Pungens Thund) fruit reveals that the contents of amino aeids, oil fats, organic acids, Vc, and micronutrients are usnally higher than those in common fruits. The content of Vc (2660mg/ 100g) is especially high, only next to those contained in the fruits of wild rose (R. rugosa Thunb)and R. roxburghii Var,normalis, R. et W. Since the nourshing components are so rich in thorny elaeagnus that the fruit can be extensively used to make beverages, jams, and fruit drinks with special flavor and pleasant color.
