摘要
介绍XML的特点和功能 ,并从有序地组织信息资源、高效地满足用户需求、有效地保护知识产权、更好地共享信息资源四个方面分析了XML在数字图书馆中的应用 ,及在国内数字图书馆中的应用现状与前景。
The characteristics and function of extensible markup language (XML) are introduced. Its application in digital libraries is discussed from 4 aspects such as arranging information resources in order, satisfying user needs efficiently, protecting intellectual property rights (IPR) effectively and sharing information resource. At the meantime, the current status and prospects of its application in China are outlined and forecasted.
