镇江位于长江与大运河的交汇处 ,历史上江南运河有多个入江口 ,现存谏壁口、丹徒口和小京口 ,在小京口 (京口闸 )平政桥旁建“江河交汇处”碑亭 ,可提高镇江的知名度 。

Znenjiang is situated at the intersection of the Yangzhi River and the Grand Canal.In history the canal part in the South of Jiangsu had a few entrances into the river.At present,there are only 3 intersections at Jianbi,Dantu and Jingkou.Near Ping Zhen Bridge at the Jingkou intersection the building of the 'River Intersection'tablet and pavilion will make Zhenjiang well known and promote Zhenjiang tourism development.
