慢性甲基汞中毒对大鼠垂体和睾丸内分泌功能的影响

EFFECT OF CHRONIC EXPOSURE TO METHYLMERCURY ON PITUITARY AND TESTICULAR ENDOCRINE FUNCTION IN MALE RATS

本文采用Wistar雄性大鼠,饲喂含甲基汞饲料102天后,观察其垂体和睾丸内分泌功能变化。结果发现,饲喂甲基汞饲料大鼠血清PRL和TSH水平明显增高,而血清LH、FSH和睾丸酮(TS)水平变化不明显;但上述各指标,1ppm组较2ppm和4ppm组增高明显。提示,慢性甲基汞中毒可刺激垂体PRL和TSH合成和分泌,而对垂体-性腺轴影响不明显;另外,低剂量(1ppm组)较高剂量(2ppm和4ppm组)刺激作用明显。

In the present study, we observed the changes in the pituitary and testicular endocrine functions in rats which were fed with foods containing methylmercury (MeHg) for 102 days. The results showed that serum PRL and TSH levels increased significantly, while serum LH. FSH and TS levels didn' t change significantly. In addition, the increase in the above - mentioned indexes in 1 ppm group was higher than that in 2 ppm and 4 ppm groups. These results suggest that: (1) the chronic effect of MeHg might stimulate pituitary PRL and TSH synthesis/release; (2) the pituitary-gonadal axis seems to be relatively resistant to MeHg; (3) lower doses of MeHg has the effect of stimulting hormone synthesis/release.
