Lotus of Olympic Green:A Landscape Design of Integrating City,Ecology and People's Activities together

奥林匹克公园荟萃了50%以上的奥运场馆,是北京市2008年奥运会的核心地区。协调奥林匹克精神与中华传统文化、奥林匹克公园建设与北京长远发展的关系,运用高新技术和体现生态学思想、满足公众活动的需求是奥林匹克公园规划设计必须考虑的基本内容。本方案以中轴线的回转和荷花主题统领整个设计过程,体现对场所精神的尊重,和城市可持续发展的追求。

Olympic green is so impor-tant in the Beijing2008Olympic that it will take more than half of the sports building construction.Harmoniz-ing the relationship between the spirit of Olymp ic competition and Chinese traditional culture,the construction of Olympic green and future development of Beijing city,implementation of high technology and ec ological ideas,and requirements of public activities are essential contents of t he design of Olympic Green.By turning the central axis back into city and using lotus as the design concept,the project ex-presses respects for place spirit an d pursuits of city ' s sustainable devel-opment.
