依据海明威和林语堂两位文学大师主要作品中有关死亡情节的描写 ,挖掘其死亡主题 ,并从死亡情结、生命悲剧感和超越死亡三方面对此主题进行比较 ,总结出中西方死亡哲学观对两位大师创作的影响及其作品对东西方不同死亡观的生动再现。

The death themes in the works of American novelist Ernest Hemingway and Chinese novelist Lin Yutang of the modern ages are explored and compared from three aspects: their death complexes, their senses of life tragedy and transcending death in their works. Different death outlooks in the western and Chinese cultures influence their creations and are in turn reflected vividly in their works.
