奥斯丁对她之前的男性作家笔下的男权视角和某些观念作出重大反拨 ,以女性的视点讲述女人自己的故事。奥斯丁小说描绘的是婚姻和家庭生活中的平凡琐事 ,却真切而深刻地反映出当时的社会生活和历史进程 ,展示了这位 18世纪的女性作家自觉的女性意识、前卫的婚姻观念和深刻的思想内涵。
Jane Austen, contrary to male writers before her time, tells stories of women from a feminine point of view. She explores life of society and process of history and reveals her feminine consciousness, progressive marriage concept and profound implication through a vivid and realistic description of marriage and family life.
