The narrative structure of Moll Flanders written by English novelist Daniel Defoe in the 18th century is interwoven with the novelists ideological confirmation that the female protagonist Moll Flanderss pursuit of money all her life is in essence the confirmation of capitalist individual value. Therefore, Moll Flanders stands for the newly rising bourgoisie and her charge against the legal system and moral conventions in Defoes contemporary society is a positive negation of the dominant cultural force.
