Sorrow and complaint poems are the main characteristic of the poems in LateHan Dynasty to A. D. 581. These poems show the poets' complexed feelings, and decribethe people's difficulties in life. Cited in this paper are various types of sorrow and complaintpoems about life, poverty, the ups and downs of an official career , delay, departure, the tra-ditional bounds to young ladies, and so on. The formation causes of this kind of poems are al-so analyzed from the angles of social atmosphere, cultural background and literature tendency.
