This article,based on the fundamental principles of historical materialism and the analysis of the mutual relations between law and morality,elaborates the experiences and lessons of running the country by law and by morality.The author further points out that the strategy of runing the country by law and morality is the destined path in constructing the socialism with Chinese characteris-tics.
