A Comparison between Confucius and Socrates in Their Educational Thoughts

孔子和苏格拉底是东西方教育史上最早的大教育家 ,他们留下了很多光辉而宝贵的教育思想和经验 ,如“有教无类” ,“启发教学” ,“因材施教”等等 ,而且 ,东西方两位伟大的教育家的教育思想有很多相似之处 ,分析和比较两位先哲的教育教学思想 ,对我们今天的教育工作和实践仍有指导意义。

Confucius and Socrates were great educators in the history of Eastern and Western education, and bequeathed us more brilliant and valuable educational thoughts and experience including 'In education, there should be no distinction of social status', 'elicitation method' and 'teaching a person in accordance with his aptitude'. As they had many similarities in their educational thoughts, it is very helpful of us to analyze and compare them.
