Analysis of TAN Si-tong's Political Personality and Psychological Causes of His Dying a Hero's Death

作为理想主义者的谭嗣同，其身上表现出鲜明的政治浪漫主义人格倾向。但同时在他的内心深处又纠结着中国士人在几千年传统政治文化之中意陶而成的“圣君情结”，这使得谭嗣同在现实政治层面上又会表现出另外一种和革命浪漫主义完全不同的政治功利主义人格倾向。这对矛盾使谭嗣同常常处于两难境地，并影响着他一生的政治活动和政治心态，最终导致了殉身于理想的政治悲剧的发生。

TAN Si-tong,an idealist,has in his personality distinct political romanticism and contradictorily has Emperor Complex of Chinese scholars which resulted from the influence of traditional political culture and resulted in his political utilitarianism personality which is completely different from revolutionary romanticism.This contradiction influenced his political psychology and activities,used to put him into a dilemma,and finally resulted in his tragedy of sacrificing his life for his ideal.
