清礼部郎中雅虎致祭妈祖处考辨

A Study on the Place of Holding memorial Ceremony to Ma Zu by Director Yahu in the Board of Rites in the Qing Dynasty

清康熙二十三年(1684年),康熙谕令派遣礼部郎中雅虎前往湄洲妈祖祖庙致祭。闽台地区多座妈祖宫庙以及多部志书史书,记述当时礼部郎中雅虎曾前往其处致祭,但这似乎不符合史实,亦不符合常理,很可能是以讹传讹。

The twenty-third year of Kangxi Period(1684)in Qing Dynasty,Kangxi imperial edict sent the Director Yahu to the ancestral temple of Ma Zu in Meizhou to hold memorial ceremony.Several Ma Zu Palace temples in Fujian and Taiwan,as well as a number of annals and history books,chronicling Yahu’s visit to the temple at that time,it does not seem to be in line with historical facts,nor is it in line with common sense.It may well be an error.
