略论福建近代轮船航运业

On the Shipping Industry of the Modern Ship in Fujian

福建是我国近代较早兴办轮船航运业的省份。清朝同治十一年(1872年)在上海成立的'轮船招商局',标志着中国民族航运业由木帆船时代进入轮船时代。它是在与外国轮运侵略势力的竞争中,逐渐发展起来。轮船招商局经营的航线扩展到我省,促进了我省轮船航运业的兴盛。随着福建船政局的创办和闽台两地经济交往的加强,我省轮船航运业又有了进一步发展,并位居全国省区前列。

Fujian is a province where ship and shipping industry were set up earlier in modern China. The 'Ship Merchants Bureau', established in Shanghai in the 11 th year of Tongzhi Period in Qing Dynasty(1872), marked the entry of Chinese national shipping industry from wooden sailing age to ship age. It was gradually developing in the competition with foreign shipping invaders. The route operated by the Ship Merchants Bureau was extending to our province, which was promoting the prosperity of the shipping industry in our province. With the establishment of Fujian Shipping Bureau and the strengthening of economic exchanges between Fujian and Taiwan, the shipping industry of Fujian and Taiwan was further developing, and ranks in the forefront of the provinces and regions of the country.
