以系统和部件选择为目的的战斗机设计管理,如果以效率成本的角度加以考察,就会得到另外的视角和观点。"性能如何"以及"成本如何"是通过以下基本量加以量度的:1能力、可靠性和保障性;2飞机的全寿命成本。应在兼顾成本2的前提下考虑作战效能1。开发、采购、使用和保障费用的支出是提高作战能力和成本效益的动因。战斗机的设计是由构建者、分析者、制造者以及使用者协商而成的。最初的设计主要考虑的是性能,兼顾发展和灵活性想定动力装置、武器和航电,然后要进行"三审",从经济性上做出一些考量。
Fighter design management aimed at the selection of systems and components gets another perspective and objective view of concepts w ith the efficiency cost equation. 'How good?' and'how much?'is looked at through the basics: 1capability,reliability and Supportability. 2Cost in total for the life of the aircraft. Effectiveness 1 w eighted against cost 2; development,procurement and operational and support dollars,is a move to increased combat capability and cost efficiency.Fighter designing is negotiating betw een the 'architects,analysts,builders and operators'. Initially preliminary design looks at performance,assumes pow erplant,w eapons and avionics,mixes in contingencies for grow th and flexibility,then draw s ‘three view s' and does some economic scraping and sanding.
