庄稼染上病害是再司空见惯不过的事情了,农民们为消灭病害付出了很多的努力,但大多都无济于事。随着现代科学技术的发展,一家英国科技公司发明了一台识别DNA的新农用设备。在发现病害时,这台设备能够及时改善物种特性,让农民们不再忍受庄稼疾病带来的困扰。
It is often difficult for farmers to identifydiseases quickly enough to protect theircrops. Now, some farmers are using a simpledevice directly in the field to find viruses beforethey spread.In Tanzania, several viruses are a threatto cassava (木薯) crops. Farmers struggle toidentify the diseases in an urgent effort toavoid severe crop damage. If they do notknow what is attacking their crops, they cannotdecide the best way to fight the disease.
