Longfellow’s Comment on Heine

19世纪美国诗人朗费罗熟悉德国文学,并深受其影响。朗费罗在《欧洲诗人与诗歌》中对海涅及其作品的评价是:诗歌富有智慧,但其人品卑微、无虔诚之心;欠谨慎,难成大诗人等。朗费罗依据浪漫主义诗学、宗教信仰等评论海涅,其'误读'自然不可避免。在评论中,朗费罗提出文学创作需要崇高之主题、怜悯之情愫、终极之关怀,对当下中国文学创作有一定的借鉴价值。

Longfellow,an American poet in the 19th century,was familiar with German literature and deeply influenced by German literature.Longfellow commented on Heine in his European Poets and Poems:Heine’s poems are rich in wisdom,but he is humble and impious in character;Heine is not sufficiently in earnest to be a great poet according to Romantic poetics and religious belief.'Misreading'is inevitable.In the'Heine review',Longfellow put forward the thought that literary creation needs lofty pursuit,pity and ultimate concern,which has reference value to the development of Chinese literature at present.
