The Recycling Image of Robin Hood

罗宾汉在历史上并无其人。他只不过是民谣和一些编年史作者的杜撰。他起初只是一个符合下层百姓口味的,但又时时刻刻遭受官府追杀的绿林好汉。随着历史的变迁,这个人物的形象也逐渐发生了变化。这些变化主要都是朝着有利于统治阶级的要求所发展,并成为能够被统治阶级所接受的英雄人物。因此,到了二十世纪,这个人物便真正地从边缘文学中的人物一跃而成了电视卡通片、儿童文学中的英雄。成了英国约克郡和诺丁汉郡招揽游各和进行旅游宣传的目标。

The article expounds the recycling image of Robin Hood both in the past and today from three aspects.First,the author points out that there was not the original outlaw as Robin Hood.Robin Hood is actually the composition out of some ballads and choronicles.But he is an outlaw-hero welcomed by the common people and chased by the sheriffes and his fellowers.Secondly,as the history goes on ,the image of Robin Hood has taken some chnges.But those changes are mainly developed towads the requirements of the rulling classes.By and by he has become a character-a hero that can be accepted by the uper classes from the margin to the main stream.So,until the twentieth century,this character becomes the main heros in TV cartoons and chidren's literature.Now he even becomes the most welcomed mass media for travel industry both of Yorkshire and Norttinhamshire.He is no longer and outlaw,no longer the representative of the unconscious.He is now the agent of the subject.
