Power Supervision in the Eye of China's Democratic Parties--An Important Topic of the Building of Socialist Political Civilization

权力监督是社会主义民主建设的一个重要问题。西方宪政国家政治相对稳定的奥秘之一是权力的制约,而其中的关键又是多党制下的政党监督。中国的政党制度是对多党制的积极扬弃。中国各党派互相监督,主要是民主党派监督共产党。民主党派是社会主义政治文明建设中的重要政治资源,其组织化程度、政治经验、对国家政治生活的参与程度和参与意识、同中国共产党的历史和现实关系,使之在民主监督中能够发挥不可替代的重要作用。

Power supervision is an important issue in the building of socialist democracy. The reason why western constituent countries acquire relatively long political stability is the ubiquitous employment of the reciprocal restriction of power, among which the most important is the supervision of the party in power under the multiparty system. The multiparty system in China is an ameliorated one, under which all parties in China supervise each other, especially democratic parties supervise the Chinese Communist Party. Democratic parties are important political resources for China. The high degree of their organization, their abundant political experience, their ready participation in political life and their consciousness for participation, and their relationship formed in history and reality with the Chinese Communist Party will play an essentially important role in democratic supervision.
